Where the agency margin actually goes

  • · Construction agencies typically charge 15–25% margin on every job
  • · On a £180/day plasterer, that's £36/day skimmed before they see it
  • · On 10 jobs a month, that's £360 a month — £4,320 a year — for an introduction

Who pays who

Two payments. We never touch the money for the job itself.

You pay us (once a month or once a year)

That's the SubbieBook subscription. Covers access to the worker pool, job posting, messaging, and CIS calculation + CSV/PDF export. Doesn't cover the cost of the work itself — that goes direct to the worker.

You pay your worker (after the job)

Once the job's done and the timesheet's signed off, you pay the worker direct — bank transfer, weekly pay run, whatever suits you. We calculate the CIS deduction and produce a CSV/PDF for your accountant; you (or they) still file the CIS300 with HMRC as normal. The worker keeps every penny of what you pay. No clip from us.

We're not an agency
We don't introduce workers and take a cut. We don't employ anyone. We just build the software that lets builders and subbies find each other directly. Once you book someone, that's a deal between you two.

Stop paying agencies.
